Mission
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you" Matthew 28:18-20.
The Mission of the Oromo Christian Fellowship is to fulfill the 'great
commission' commanded by our Lord. The OCF strives to minister the spiritual
needs of all nations through proclaming the liberating power of the Gospel
of Our Lord Jesus Christ, making discipleship by teaching and training,
supporting missions to expand the Gospel of Jesus, and nurturing the Congregation.
Vision
The vision of the Oromo Christian Fellowship is to take part in accomplishing
the great commission (our mission) commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ
in the Gospel of Matthew 28:18-20.
Thus, the vision of the Oromo Christian Fellowship is:
1. Building strong bible based, spirit filled, faithful, mission oriented,
and self-supporting church that will stretch out to reach to the lost
world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ primarily to the afaan-oromo speaking
people. "Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning"
Luke 12:35
2. Producing, equipping, and supporting as many ministers (evangelists
and pastors) as possible, in order to prepare them to carry out the great
commission-spread and expand the Gospel. "The harvest is plentiful,
but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send
out workers into his harvest field" Luke 10:2
